Would prefer an HBO series of about. oh. seven seasons. There is so much to this series, its dense and needs time to breathe life into the characters and plot and world building. Two - three hours is not enough time to accurately and to do the material justice. Even Sci-fi"s 6 hour mini series wasn"t enough time although much more accurate than the movie. Kyle Mclaughlin is and always will be Paul Atredies to me, although Alec Newman did a really good job as well for the sci-fi miniseries. Both actors portray moody Paul well, but Kyle was the first so nostalgia factor there. Duke nukem. Dune the book is one of the best scifi books ever (I"ve been into scifi for 50+ years, and became an aerospace engineer because of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The 1984 movie for me was a mixed blessing. It captured the flavor quite well, but rain? on Arrakis? which would destroy the worms? That ruined it for me. I think the SyFy channel miniseries (the 1st book) was better, and have high hopes for this new version. Please don"t dissapoint me Mr. Villenueve. Incidentally, Jodorosky"s Dune documentary is worth watching.

I would also take a look at Denis Villenueve"s past films to understand his style. Personal opinion, he really hasn"t made a bad film. Did Worf rub off on Captain Picard. I find ecological aspect of "Dune" very compelling. It is one of the major themes of the book, but rarely mentioned in any overview videos. All life revolves around water (or rather absence of it) preservation of water (water is even reclaimed from your breath) all life forms on Arrakis are evolved to adapt to these harsh conditions. I can say that water is the second axis of the book, first one being spice melange. Both of these axes intersect at a single point - to make spice melange you need water as well. In terms of Christianity (blood of the Christ and eating Eucharist) water can be compared to blood and spice to Eucharist. Eucharist even having some more ancient roots to consumption of psychedelic materials to reach higher states of consciousness (like some mushroom caps consumed by ancient societies) but this is whole new topic for another day. Another aspect is religion. You can literally find various aspects of all current major religions, main ones being islam+zen Buddhism. The more you are acquainted with various religions the more details you recognize in the book. Also eugenics motif is very strong with Bene Geserit breeding program, trying to breed "super-human" over the thousands of generations from selected gene-pools and traits. Including very strict conditioning of each Bene Geserit woman, being like a vessel to produce "all seeing, all knowing" human.

D c5 b1ne driver. Dunes village resort. I dont care what anyone thinks or says Dune is a masterpiece of cinema. Dune soundtrack. 2:40:42 best part. Dunelm curtains. When I saw timothee I started cracking up. Legend has told that the legendary eyebrows of Thufir Hawat defeated the moustache of Sam Elliot in a battle to the death. Hahahha And the music from Bladerunner 2049 tsk tsk tsk. The technology of the site allows you to play movies without problems even through a Smart TV. Ur the man IoIaF, thanks for giving me something 2 read while i await winds of winter. Dune needs to be picked up by HBO and done like Game of Thrones. These books are impossible to adapt for a few films. If you view in 720p hd as everything is fine — looking x/f and enjoy.
